Hey my loves!
I will be reviewing The Body Shop's Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet face moisturizer today, keep reading!
I'm a huge fan of the original Vitamin E face moisturizer from The Body Shop, so when they came out with the lighter version for summer, I was really excited to try it.
It comes in a glass container with a plastic screw on lid.
(which makes it heavy, not ideal if you travel regularly)
What stands out the most is the consistency of this moisturizer. It actually looks, smells and feels like a sorbet!
Now, if you have dry skin, or dry combination skin like myself, it's not going to do much for you in terms of moisturizing, but if you have oily skin, this could just be THE ONE! It moisturizes ever so slightly without leaving your skin feel oily.
On the down side, it does not come with SPF.
I apply (and you should too) a separate sunscreen regardless of the SPF factor in my moisturizer, but, when you buy a moisturizer designed as a "summer time" moisturizer, you would expect it to come with SPF, just for that added protection.
But really, the actual problem I had with it is that, it BROKE ME OUT! And I read a few reviews online and realized that many women went through the same unfortunate experience!
I didn't feel any Vitamin E benefits either. (like hydration or brightness, like you get from the original Vitamin E cream)
All in all, it just broke me out terribly, did very little to hydrate my skin and gave no other benefits.
Sadly, I don't recommend this product.
That's it for today mi loves! Hope this helped you. Catch ya' later alligator!
