The Body Shop Silky Cleansing Oil (Camomile) - Review

Oil cleansing has become the new skin care fad, and for a reason!
It cleanses and purifies your skin like non other!

When the market is filling up with a lot of oil cleansers (you can make your own too!), let's take a look at how The Body Shop's Camomile Oil cleanser works. Keep Reading!

My biggest skin care tip would be - Have a great cleansing routine!

A good thorough cleansing routine will keep your skin smooth and baby soft, removing all the build up, which will occur even if you're not an avid makeup wearer. But you have to be even more rigorous with your cleansing routine if you wear makeup on a daily basis.

Here, it is important to strike a healthy balance where your skin is squeaky clean and your pores can breath, but your skin is still soft and supple, not striped off of all moisture.

And, that's why I'm in Love with this Body Shop Camomille Oil Cleansing oil!

How I use it: Pump 1 n half pumps into the palm of my hands, and gently massage it into my face. I like to focus especially on my eye area since that's where most of my makeup goes on (concealer, eyeliner, mascara!)
Then, I simply wash it off with plain ol' water, and follow up with a generic face wash, just to makeup sure everything is off of my face.
I've been doing this for a few months, and this routine is working like magic for me.

Details: The Body Shop Chamomile Cleansing oil comes in a plastic bottle with a pump.
You get 200ml for KD 6.000 in Kuwait, and it's available in all Body Shop counters in all the malls.
Upon inspection of the ingredients list, I learned that this oil contains some really good stuff like sweet almond oil and sesame seed oil. And you know I love my almond oil!
But, this cleansing oil also contains fragrance. (Boo!)

PRO's: Super simple to use.
Efficient at getting all of the makeup off (except Maybelline mascaras. They are just stubborn)
Very good to use as daily a massage oil on your face
All skin types (even sensitive skin) can use it.

CON's:  Not really a con, but I like to follow up with a face wash, just to make sure I have squeaky clean skin. I wouldn't assume that the oil cleanser alone will remove 100% of everything off of your skin.

To summarize, I love this product, and I completely recommend it! :)

Hope this review helped you, and have a great day!

  1. I have been using the Shu Uemura cleansing oil for the past 2 years and have been loving it! Unfortunately this one broke me out after one use itself so it just sits under my sink.

  3. Hey Jovita! Stumbled upon your blog recently. What gets me coming back is the similarities we share...pseudo Mallus stranded on desert lands!

Saw this at The Body Shop counters last week. I was wondering if I should give this cleansing oil a try... but I have a love-hate relationship with oils. After reading your review, I might just give this one a shot!

    Keep up the good work..
